Laying The Table…

Gosh it’s been ages… Life has certainly been so busy in this little household!!  Before I go any further I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your loved ones.  Time has certainly gone by so fast around here and I can’t believe we’re nearly through January already!  I had a wonderful first Christmas with my new husband and our lovely families.

I am rather excited to announce some news!  I have been working so hard at setting up an online business and it’s now ready to launch on 18th February!!  I have always had a passion for homewares and entertaining so after some lovely encouragement from friends I decided to go for it… how naive was I? LOL… I now understand the full meaning of hard work in setting up even a small business!  So, so many details and so much time researching and buying (that’s the fun part ;) ) and budgeting and setting up business plans etc…

Laying The Table…

A change is coming…

Hi lovelies!  It’s been a few days since I’ve been by but there is good reason.   I have been busy setting up something new and exciting (more details when it’s ready!!).  Driftwood and Roses will be finished up as a business and I will be launching a new site with a new direction and focus.

I have been fumbling around with Driftwood and Roses for a long time and finding it hard to give it some direction and purpose and not knowing where to go forward with it.  After having a good chat with a wonderful, very supportive friend, (who sensed my frustration!) and being asked a few very appropriate and thought provoking questions the lightbulb seemed to go on for me (took a while but I got there, lol) and I knew what I wanted to do.

I’m nervous, excited, scared and still feel a little like I’m fumbling around a little but at least I’m fumbling with a purpose and a goal in mind :)

I am also grateful to have my family behind me 100%… how blessed.

So please be patient, don’t disappear and I’ll keep you updated.  Some aspects are out of my hands and taking a little longer than I had hoped to get set up but all in God’s time…
